A chess knight can move as shown on the right. He has a choice of:
    EITHER
        one square left or right and two squares up or down
    OR
        two squares left or right and one square up or down.


So starting where he is he could jump to any of the red squares as one move.

 

In the puzzle below, the knight starts in the blue square and tries to make a series of jumps to save the queen who is on a green square.

 

If he lands on a spider's web he is tangled up and is then lost. If he lands in a square with a bee then all is well and he can jump again.
