Asian Hornet
The Asian Hornet is a foreign species from Asia. If you find one you must report it. It has arrived in France and is now spreading rapidly. As a highly effective predator of insects, including honey bees and other beneficial species, it can cause significant losses to bee colonies, other native species and potentially ecosystems.
The most lily areas to find Asian Hornets are in the south of England, but there have been sightings quite some way north. It is most active between April and November.
