Beekeeping Introductory Day
Once a year we hold a Beekeeping Introductory Day which gives you the chance to see what beekeeping is all about. It also provides a thorough overview of the whole process for those who are interested but don't want to keep bees themselves and for those who just want to help bees.
Beginners
Course
The Beginners Course runs from April to August each year. The aim is to give you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to start keeping bees yourself. Most beginners acquire bees during the course.
BBKA Basic Assessment
This covers all the basic things which all beekeepers should know. The syllabus covers the understanding of how bees interact with the rest of nature and how they are looked after, swarming and diseases together with the practical skills needed to handle bees and to interpret what you see happening in a hive.
